1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Casero ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Casero is an AI-powered property management platform designed for coliving operators and landlords. The Service includes property management tools, tenant communication, rent collection, maintenance tracking, AI-assisted operations, and related features.

3. Account Registration

You must provide accurate, complete information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities under your account. You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service.

4. User Responsibilities

You agree to:

  • Use the Service in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
  • Ensure tenant data you input is handled in compliance with applicable privacy laws
  • Not use the Service for any illegal, harmful, or unauthorized purpose
  • Not attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service
  • Be solely responsible for your interactions with tenants, vendors, and other parties

5. Payment & Billing

During the early access period, core features are available at no cost. We reserve the right to introduce paid plans in the future with reasonable notice. Payment processing for rent collection is handled by Stripe and subject to their terms.

6. SMS Messaging Program Terms

Program Name

Casero AI Property Management Messaging

Program Description

Casero AI ("Casero") sends SMS text messages to tenants, prospective tenants (leads), and vendors in connection with property management services. Messages include:

  • Rent payment reminders and overdue notices
  • Late fee notifications
  • Maintenance request updates and scheduling
  • Lease notifications and renewal reminders
  • Property announcements
  • Room availability and showing scheduling (for prospective tenants)
  • Vendor job dispatch and coordination

Message Frequency

Message frequency varies by user type:

  • Tenants: Approximately 2–8 messages per month (rent reminders, maintenance updates, announcements)
  • Prospective tenants (leads): 1–3 messages total (room availability, showing follow-up)
  • Vendors: 1–5 messages per job (dispatch, scheduling, follow-up)

Message and Data Rates

Standard message and data rates may apply. Casero does not charge for receiving SMS messages, but your mobile carrier may charge standard messaging fees. Contact your carrier for details about your plan.

Opt-In / Consent

By providing your phone number through the Casero platform — whether during tenant onboarding, lead inquiry, or vendor registration — you consent to receive text messages from Casero AI related to property management services. Consent is not a condition of purchase or service.

Opt-Out Instructions

You can opt out of receiving text messages at any time:

  • Text STOP to any message from Casero to immediately stop all future messages
  • You will receive a one-time confirmation: "You have been unsubscribed. You will no longer receive messages from this number."
  • After opting out, you will not receive any further messages unless you opt back in

Carrier Disclaimer

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Message delivery is subject to effective transmission from your mobile carrier.

Privacy

Your phone number and messaging data will not be sold or shared with third parties for marketing purposes. All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

7. AI-Powered Features

The Service uses artificial intelligence to assist with tenant communication, maintenance triage, property analysis, and other operations. While we strive for accuracy, AI-generated responses and recommendations are not guaranteed to be error-free. You should review AI outputs before acting on them, especially for legal, financial, or safety-related matters.

8. Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Casero and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of any data you input into the Service.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Casero shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months prior to the claim.

10. Disclaimer

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. Casero is not a law firm, accounting firm, or licensed property management company. The Service does not constitute legal, financial, or professional advice.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these terms. You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.

12. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email or through the Service. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
